OCTOBER 30TH-NOVEMBER 4TH ,Fife, Lower Largo – RESIDENTIAL, 3 yoga sessions per day.
This is a truly loved retreat. Its roots go back to 2006, when I created it for my teacher Firooza Ali Razvi. It gradually became a residential retreat for teachers and more advanced practitioners. In, I think 2016(?), I opened it up to all by starting a new one alongside, taught by me, after many years attending Firooza’s.
It is a full immersion in space to pause and breathe. My focus is very much on taking time to really learn to listen to the breath, its pauses, the spaces it lives in, how wide, how deep, how slow, how fast, what rhythm, organs and more. We have 2 sessions a day, first and third, where that breath awareness work is the main feature. The session in the morning after breakfast focuses on developing awareness of how our body moves, feels, opens, responds to different invitations and enquiries.
In the 2024 retreat I celebrated a special happening: three generations in a family coming together…mum fist came to me for classes, then when she was expecting her baby, then after years with her own mum to the retreat as special time for them and then…baby, now young woman…saw how much fun they were having and how much they were getting from it, she too wanted to come along….a true 20 year long journey together I am celebrating.
If you wish to join this November, the flyer with all information about booking may be downloaded from here . There is space for you.
MAY 15TH-17TH and SEPTEMBER 4th-6th 2026, Isle of Gigha, Southern Hebrides Non-Residential.
This will be our third retreat, and second this year. It is a true gem and a work of love again, born from the seed planted by Morven Beagan, who is the organiser for it, two years ago.
It is a celebration of nourishment and wellbeing in its many forms. We bring to you yoga, guided walks, dips in the sea, and last but not least the opportunity to create new connections, friendship, be and …eat delicious food.
Food is very much a focal point of both the retreats in Fife as well as Gigha, as this work needs the support offered by beautifully prepared and carefully thought meals. The difference between the two retreats in this is that in Fife, we cook together, following recipes lovingly put together over years by my fantastic colleague, great chef Agata Saltonstall. In Gigha, we have a Heather Gorman as our wonderful creative cook. The food is vegetarian/vegan.
To book for September on Gigha, please contact Morven here, and you can browse her beautiful handmade products on her site Gigha Natural Skincare. The retreat is open to all. In our last one in May we had someone who was doing its first ever classes as well as a teacher.
Review from one of the participants: ‘The retreat was a fabolous blend of relaxation, yoga, energy, friendship, exploration and laughter. The food was truly heavenly and inspirational.’ Liesa
