It is a space in which two individuals agree to meet to make space to work together to reflect on their personal and professional development and more. It is not therapy; it is not coaching. It is a way of working together which sometimes may give tiny insights which may trickle over a long time, or big realisation which allow a big step.

How does it work and how I work: I work somatically, which means I use my body as a resource during the sessions, as well as inviting curiosity and awareness into what is happening for you. I work with process. I use techniques which come from the supervision training with CSTD London– 7 Eyed model- as well as other tools, developed over many years of running groups and classes in different teaching contexts. Intuition and creativity are important to the way I listen. The quality of spaciousness of the listening itself is important to me for our relationship, to have space to hear one another. I may use techniques and resources to encourage embodied slowing down and grounding to find a way of communicating which is beyond words and in touch with our own hearts. Silence is welcome to the session.

My background: 35 years of yoga experience to therapist/trainer/mentor/supervisor level. Craniosacral therapy: started as a client 21 years ago after my son was born, attending regularly for many years. I decided to train in 2016 with CCST London and have been in practice since. I am an accredited supervisor with CSTA UK – The Craniosacral Therapy Association UK. In 2010-2011 I completed the Core Process Psychotherapy Foundation Course at Karuna Institute. I completed my IBT training with Conscious Embodiment Training recently, which started in 2019. The last 10 years have been spent in my own practice exploring pre-and perinatal imprint, process through movement and working somatically. I share this work in 1:1 and small group sessions. I am Italian by birth, Scottish by ‘adoption'(moved to Edinburgh in 1991), and speak English, Italian and Spanish should that be helpful.

I can be reached on annamaria@bodysymphonies.co.uk .

More on 7 Eyed Model and Supervision can be seen here, beautifully demonstrated by Joan Wilmot of CSTD London.

Sessions last 60 minutes and I charge £65.

I look forward to working with you. Annamaria

Supervision or Super- Vision ?
